Baseball Recap: Unionville Takes a Loss

Unionville managed to slip by Downingtown West the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Longhorns came up short against the Whippets on Monday, falling 10-2. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Whippets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Unionville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Indy Riggs, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Unionville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Downingtown West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11.

Unionville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-4 win against Oxford on the 30th. As for Downingtown West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 victory against Bishop Shanahan on the 30th.
