Basketball Game Preview: Southeast Halifax Trojans vs. Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets

The Southeast Halifax Trojans will head out to face off against the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southeast Halifax has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 3.

On Tuesday, Southeast Halifax lost to Northampton County on the road by a 39-25 margin.

Meanwhile, Roanoke Rapids played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Rocky Mount and fell 72-19. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Gryphons: they've now lost eight in a row.

Southeast Halifax's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Roanoke Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Southeast Halifax suffered a grim 56-32 defeat to Roanoke Rapids when the teams last played back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Southeast Halifax was down 31-11.
