Basketball Game Preview: Hanover Wildcats vs. Logan/Palco

The Hanover Wildcats will face off against Logan/Palco at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Hanover's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.

Hanover is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Victoria with a sharp 75-51 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Logan/Palco put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Tescott 57-41. Given Logan/Palco's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Tescott is ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hanover better keep an eye on Rhett Kats. He was instrumental in Logan/Palco's win, almost dropping a double-double with 33 points and nine steals. That's the most steals Kats has posted since back in December of 2024. Kaden Graham was another key player, putting up five points.

Logan/Palco's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-0. As for Hanover, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
