Softball Recap: North Miami Takes a Loss

South Bend Riley hit North Miami with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors fell 8-3 to the Wildcats.

North Miami saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Hampton, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

North Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for South Bend Riley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.

North Miami has already played their next game (against Oregon-Davis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Bend Riley, they will take on Mishawaka Marian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
