After a string of six wins, St. Mary's Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by the Mercy Marlins 69-40. The Eaglets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Marlins earlier this season, when they won 48-46.

St. Mary's Prep's defeat ended a 17-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-2. As for Mercy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

St. Mary's Prep will host Clarkston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkston will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something St. Mary's Prep surely won't give up without a fight. Mercy has already played their next game, a 55-46 victory against Walled Lake Northern on the 1st.
