The biggest upset of the week belonged to Plainfield, who took down 154th ranked Linden, 22-13.
Ridge was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Immaculata. The Red Devils came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 85 last week.
Chris Chugunov put up the best numbers through the air as Montgomery beat North Hunterdon. He finished with 17 completions for 301 yards and 3 touchdowns. Chugunov's favorite target this week was Mitch Chugunov, who caught 7 passes for 104 yards.
THOMAS LOEFFLER was a key player and the best on defense this week as Watchung Hills Regional beat Warren Hills Regional. The 6-foot-3 senior.
RYAN CUNNINGHAM was the most successful running back in Mid-State 38 - Watchung this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 203 yards as the Warriors fell to the Cougars. Teammate JOSEPH GIACOMO added to the ground attack by rushing for 101 yards.
He went 17-25 with 1 interception.
Magaleski was the best receiver in the league this week as North Hunterdon fell to Montgomery. Magaleski tallied 9 receptions for 137 yards. Luke Fogel helped North Hunterdon's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 58 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Chugunov of Zoran Milich's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 416. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Magaleski. The North Hunterdon star has 12 catches for 212 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when John Mattes' team takes on Watchung Hills Regional. As it stands, the Lions are in fourth, while Marc Crisafi's team is in first.
Ridge scaled the state rankings by moving to 24 from 85 this week, the biggest jump in Mid-State 38 - Watchung. Bill Tracy's team was able to move up by topping the Spartans 31-7.
