Baseball Recap: Magnolia Takes a Loss

Magnolia lost against Ritchie County back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Eagles came up short against the Rebels, falling 12-2. The Blue Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Magnolia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Grimes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Magnolia's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Ritchie County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-18-1.

Looking ahead, Magnolia is taking a road trip to challenge Wirt County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Ritchie County, they will welcome Wahama at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
