Baseball Recap: Hayfork Takes a Loss

If Hayfork was riding high fresh off their 27-0 takedown of Dunsmuir last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberjacks took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Wolves on Monday. The Timberjacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hayfork dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Trinity, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.

Coming up, Hayfork will welcome Plumas Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Timberjacks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity, they will venture away from home to face off against Mt. Shasta at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
