Ledyard extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 12-8. Everything went their way against the Griswold Wolverines as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colonels, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Alexia Lemmon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
