Softball Recap: Winamac Warriors vs. Morgan Township Cherokees

After losing to Morgan Township the last time they met, Winamac decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors came out on top against the Cherokees by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly four runs.

Brooke Rausch made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Rausch was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Corrin Combs was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brody Goodman, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
