It's playoff time, and Aquinas Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 69-40 victory over the Geibel Catholic Gators. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Geibel Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Dolan, who went 5-for-10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. What's more, Dolan also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was John Hess, who posted four points and eight boards.

Aquinas Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Geibel Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Aquinas Academy has already played their next contest, a 69-35 loss against Neighborhood Academy on the 22nd. Geibel Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
