Basketball Recap: Brook Hill Guard vs. All Saints Episcopal Trojans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prince of Peace, the Brook Hill Guard were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They managed a 37-31 win over All Saints Episcopal. Given Brook Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Trojans are ranked 1076th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

All Saints Episcopal's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sachit Basoor, who scored five points along with two steals.

Brook Hill is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for All Saints Episcopal, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-19.

Brook Hill will head out on the road to face off against the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dallas Christian and the Guard are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for All Saints Episcopal, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. Vanguard College Prep is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
