Volleyball Game Preview: Four Winds/Minnewaukan Indians vs. New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets

Four Winds/Minnewaukan is 0-5 against New Rockford-Sheyenne since September of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 3:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Four Winds/Minnewaukan took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against St. John, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Woodchucks 3-2.

Meanwhile, New Rockford-Sheyenne waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rockets have posted against the Wildcats since September 27, 2016.

New Rockford-Sheyenne's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Four Winds/Minnewaukan, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Four Winds/Minnewaukan suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to New Rockford-Sheyenne when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
