Softball Recap: Altoona Comes Up Short

Altoona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, falling 8-1. If the Mountain Lions were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Altoona saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Snyder, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Altoona's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Cumberland Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

While Altoona had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
