Baseball Recap: Zimmerman's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Zimmerman took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Fridley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Thunder narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 7-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Thunder as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Noah Schmit, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Eli Martin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Zimmerman's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Fridley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

As of now, neither Zimmerman nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
