Football Recap: Nueces Canyon Panthers vs. Leakey Eagles
Nueces Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt an 88-52 defeat at the hands of the Leakey Eagles. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 30-24 in the first quarter.
Despite the loss, Nueces Canyon still got an impressive performance from Marcos Ortiz, who picked up 95 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown. Colin Taylor got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
