It was fun while it lasted, but Manhattan's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Friday. They took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hays Indians. The matchup marked Manhattan's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Manhattan fell to 4-1. As for Hays, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manhattan will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Topeka on January 10, 2025. Hays will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Independent at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
