Basketball Recap: Refugio Comes Up Short

Refugio and San Saba squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Refugio had to settle for second. They took a blow against the San Saba Armadillos, falling 80-46. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while the Armadillos are ranked 130th).

Refugio's loss dropped their record down to 28-6. As for San Saba, they pushed their record up to 29-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Refugio does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Saba, they will challenge Danbury on Monday. One thing working in San Saba's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.
