Basketball Recap: Philo Electrics vs. Coshocton Redskins

The Philo Electrics pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Coshocton, falling 82-55. Philo has not had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Philo's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Drew Wright, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Rusty Trout was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.

Coshocton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colton Conkle, who shot 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Logan Lonsberry, who went 8 for 18 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists.

Philo's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Coshocton, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Philo will play host again and welcome the Generals, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sheridan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Coshocton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Black Bears at 7:30 p.m. River View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 581st, while the Redskins are ranked 274th).
