Volleyball Recap: Fleming Takes Down Merino in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Fleming rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Merino Rams. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Rams on their court since November 11, 2022.

Brooke Schaefer was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 34 digs and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Fleming and bumps their season record up to 24-4. As for Merino, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 24-3 record.

Fleming didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against McClave on the 15th. Merino does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
