Baseball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Academy Lions vs. Harvest Christian Academy Saints

The Heritage Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Harvest Christian Academy Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Harvest Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Tuesday. Heritage Christian Academy had just enough and edged out St. Paul's Prep 3-2.

Heritage Christian Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Hicks, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Harvest Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 4-1 to St. Paul's Prep. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Saints couldn't push the score so high this time.

Heritage Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Heritage Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Harvest Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Heritage Christian Academy suffered a grim 12-6 defeat to Harvest Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
