Soccer Game Preview: Westside vs. Southside

The Westside Rams will square off against the Southside Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Monday, Westside didn't have quite enough to beat Wren and fell 2-1. Westside have struggled against Wren recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Southside had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They blew past the Hurricanes 5-1. Considering Southside have won seven matchups by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Wren with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from ADRIEL RODRIGUEZ (3), OSCAR MOTA, and ERICK RUIZ.

Westside's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for Southside, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
