Football Recap: South Tahoe Vikings vs. Elko Indians        
        
		
             South Tahoe lost against Elko back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The South Tahoe Vikings were dealt  a  49-8 loss at the hands of the Elko Indians. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.
 Despite the loss, South Tahoe still got an impressive performance from   Logan Debaun, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
 Leading Elko to victory were  Ethan Kraintz and  Jake Carsrud.  Kraintz rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while  Carsrud rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns. Carsrud is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in three or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Coy Jones, who rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown.
 South Tahoe now  has a losing record at 2-3. As for Elko, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 South Tahoe will face off against Fernley at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Elko, they will take on Lowry at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Elko's defense has only allowed 14.5  points per game  this season, so Lowry's offense will have their work cut out for them.
