Basketball Game Preview: Woodruff Wolverines vs. Greer Middle College Blazers

The Woodruff Wolverines will head out to challenge the Greer Middle College Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Woodruff is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since February 13, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Broome by a score of 49-47.

Meanwhile, Greer Middle College had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They walked away with a 69-61 victory over the Panthers. 69 seems to be a good number for the Blazers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Greer Middle College pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Woodruff, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Woodruff might still be hurting after the 68-47 loss they got from Greer Middle College when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Woodruff avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
