Softball Recap: Fort Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fort Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-5 to the Ashland Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-1 two weeks ago.

Fort Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ashland, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fort Fairfield will challenge rival Southern Aroostook at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ashland is set to square off against their familiar foe Central Aroostook at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
