Baseball Recap: Roy Comes Up Short

Roy extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 7-9 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northridge Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Royals have lost by just one run.

Jack Sorensen and Kaygen Tingey did some serious damage despite the final result: Sorensen got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one RBI, while Tingey went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Vorwaller, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Northridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6. Eight seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On Northridge's side, the team relied heavily on Jon Olsen, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Roy beat the Knights by a score of 16-6 on Wednesday.
