Porter Deters Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Mission Valley got the W thanks in part to Porter Deters playing the best football he has all season. Deters picked up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only five passes. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 88 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Deters might just drop another big game when he faces off against Olpe on Friday. Two weeks ago (the last time Deters saw the Eagles), he rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 143 yards and a touchdown.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Kasen Parsons

On Friday, Osage City got the W thanks in part to Kasen Parsons playing the best football he has all season. Parsons wasn't messing around, rushing for 97 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 228 yards and two touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes. The game was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns.

The victory for Osage City keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Parsons and Osage City will face off against Bluestem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Theel picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 91 yards.
