Baseball Recap: Borger Takes a Loss

Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Dumas Demons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Demons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Borger saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Pimentel, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Borger's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Dumas, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Borger will square off against rival Hereford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dumas is set to face off against their familiar foe Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
