Soccer Game Preview: Othello vs. Pasco

The Othello Huskies will face off against the Pasco Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Othello didn't have enough. They lost 5-0 to Ellensburg on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Othello in their meetings with Ellensburg: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Pasco fell victim to Kamiakin and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Braves, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Pasco can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Kamiakin are ranked 39th).

Pasco now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Othello, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Othello was able to grind out a solid victory over Pasco in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
