Florida gained its third Class of 2019 commitment Monday, landing 4-star big man Omar Payne of perennial powerhouse Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.).

The 6-foot-9 power forward is regarded as the No. 38 prospect in the class of 2019 by 247Sports.

He announced his decision via Twitter Monday night, joining 5-star guard Tre Mann of The Villages Charter (The Villages, Fla.).

The Orlando Sentinel All-Area second team selection led Osceola (Kissimmee, Fla.) to the FHSAA Class 9A regional final last season, averaging 19 points per contest as a junior.

An elite shot blocker, Payne should play a pivotal role in Montverde Academy's quest to repeat as GEICO Nationals champions and could make an immediate impact in the SEC for Mike White.
Omar Payne committed to Florida on Monday. The 2019 forward will play next season at Montverde Academy.
