Softball Recap: Gulliver Prep Raiders vs. Chaminade-Madonna Lions

Gulliver Prep lost against Chaminade-Madonna back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders fell 7-4 to the Lions. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordyn Mullen was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Mullen wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Danica Mujica also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
