Football Recap: Lanier County Bulldogs vs. Turner County Titans
Lanier County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell to the Turner County Titans 20-14. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Curtis Grant had an outrageously good game for Turner County as he rushed for 196 yards while picking up 10.9 yards per carry.
Lanier County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Turner County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
Lanier County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 39-13 loss against Brooks County on the 18th. Turner County has also already played their next match, a 37-27 defeat against Crawford County on the 17th.
