Softball Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pleasant Grove can now relate to. They came up short against the Handley Tigers on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Spartans just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Pleasant Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aniyah Harris, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Pleasant Grove's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Handley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-25-1 record this season.

Pleasant Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Handley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Tallassee on the 7th.
