Mariner had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 2-3 to make it six. They fell just short of the Riverview Sarasota Rams by a score of 12-10. Even though they lost, the Tritons' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Antonio Marino made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Ryan Kotarski also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

As for Riverview Sarasota, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

On Riverview Sarasota's side, Trudo Letschert looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.

At the plate, Cale Cowart was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Keeran Venkat was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Mariner didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-3 defeat against Charlotte on the 23rd. As for Riverview Sarasota, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Venice on the 24th.
