Volleyball Recap: Oakwood Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Oakwood duked it out with Callisburg on Friday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

While Oakwood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22.

Oakwood dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Callisburg, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Oakwood will welcome Kemp at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Callisburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Neches on the 15th.
