Basketball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 44-35 to the Wayne County Yellow Jackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-23 two weeks ago.

Perry's record now sits at 12-9. As for Wayne County, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Perry and Wayne County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Perry will take on Ware County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday down 189 places (233 vs. 44). Meanwhile, Wayne County (ranked 137th) will meet Warner Robins (ranked 13th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
