Softball Recap: Murray Comes Up Short

Murray's last matchup with Union County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Tigers lost 21-1 to the Braves. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost three in a row.

Murray saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mayla Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Smith snagged this season.

Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Union County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Murray will be playing at home against Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union County, they will challenge Christian County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
