Carlinville is 9-1 against Hillsboro since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cavaliers will welcome the Hiltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carlinville comes in on six and Hillsboro on three.

Carlinville is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Southwestern: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cavaliers blew the Piasa Birds out of the water with a 43-10 final score. Considering the Cavaliers have won four games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carlinville's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ridge Regan, Corbin Walton, and Caleb Robinson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro didn't have too much trouble with Litchfield/Mt. Olive on Friday as they won 35-21.

Carlinville's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hillsboro, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
