Football Recap: Wake Forest Skates Past East Wake with Ease + How To Watch

Wake Forest never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over the East Wake Warriors. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cougars just coasted through the last quarter.

Micah Olu had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 158 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, while also picking up 40 receiving yards and one touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Wake Forest's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Landen Perry was another key player, throwing for 63 yards and a pair of TDs.

The win made it two in a row for Wake Forest and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.5 points over those games. As for East Wake, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4.

Wake Forest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-24 win against Knightdale on the 17th. As for East Wake, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Franklinton on the 17th.
