Baseball Recap: Rocky Mount's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Rocky Mount can bid farewell to their 19-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over the Beddingfield Bruins. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Gryphons considering their one-run performance the match before.

Alex Beasley was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack McKellar, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The win got Rocky Mount back to even at 1-1. As for Beddingfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Rocky Mount will head out to challenge Tarboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beddingfield, they will host Martin County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
