Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Riverton

With a playoff win on the line, Riverton rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Lehi Pioneers 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Silverwolves, who have now won five games in a row.

Riverton got a great performance from Kaelyn Flynn as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Flynn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Leary was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Rentmeister, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Riverton's victory bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Lehi, they moved to 23-9 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Riverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lehi, they will take on Herriman at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
