Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. North Creek

Skyline is on a three-game streak of home losses, and North Creek a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The Skyline Spartans will host the North Creek Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. North Creek took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Skyline, who comes in off a win.

Skyline will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Lake Washington on Thursday. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Kangaroos 4-3.

Meanwhile, North Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Woodinville on Thursday and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, North Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Woodinville are ranked third).

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for North Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1.

Skyline came out on top in a nail-biter against North Creek when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
