Meanwhile, Carthage came up short against Nixa on Friday and fell 73-60. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carthage in their matchups with Nixa: they've now lost nine in a row.
Branson's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Carthage, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
