League recap: Gibson throws longest pass in league this season for San Juan Hills

Jacob Gibson and Kyle Mucerino provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fullerton. The longest such play in Sea View this season, the connection resulted in 88 yards.

Capistrano Valley was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. The Cougars vanquished Corona del Mar 24-7 earlier in the week.

Nathan Cole threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns. He went 34-56 with four interceptions.

Brad Kremer was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 122 yards on 17 carries as San Juan Hills topped the Indians. Gibson also contributed to the rushing game with eight yards on the ground.

Mucerino was the best wideout in Sea View this week as the Stallions topped Fullerton. Mucerino racked up six receptions for 186 yards. Scott Hoover helped San Juan Hills' passing attack out by catching two balls for 42 yards.

6-foot-4 quarterback Cole of Aliso Niguel is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1434. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns. On the ground, San Juan Hills' Kremer has rushed for 396 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mucerino. The San Juan Hills star has 29 catches for 571 yards.

Aaron Flowers's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Julian Smilowitz's team, 27-21. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
