Soccer Game Preview: Moravia vs. Southern Cayuga

Moravia is 0-10 against Southern Cayuga since October of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will square off against the Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. Moravia has given up an average of 5.6 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moravia lost 7-2 to Groton last Wednesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Moravia were already down 5-1.

Spencer Weed and Caden Cuddeback scored both of Moravia's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Southern Cayuga waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Red Hawks get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Considering Southern Cayuga have won seven contests by more than three goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Southern Cayuga's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Moravia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Moravia suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Southern Cayuga when the teams last played back in September. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
