Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Landrum

Landrum barely beat Liberty the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cardinals have posted against the Red Devils since October 18, 2017.

Landrum was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-14.

Olivia Washington paced Landrum's offense, picking up 15 kills. Washington got some help from Maddie Smith and her 40 assists. Ella Wilkie controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Landrum's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. As for Liberty, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landrum will face off against Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will head out to square off against Greenville Tech Charter at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
