Softball Game Preview: Northeast Dubois Jeeps vs. Forest Park Rangers

The Northeast Dubois Jeeps will venture away from home to face off against the Forest Park Rangers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast Dubois will be strutting in after a victory while Forest Park will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Northeast Dubois narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bedford North Lawrence 3-1.

Meanwhile, Forest Park came up short against Southridge on Monday and fell 11-7. The Rangers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Rheyse Fleck was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Northeast Dubois is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Everything went Northeast Dubois' way against Forest Park when the teams last played back in May of 2022, as Northeast Dubois made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jeeps since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
