Volleyball Game Preview: Minooka Indians vs. Plainfield South Cougars + Official Tickets

Minooka is 9-1 against Plainfield South since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Minooka will be strutting in after a victory while Plainfield South will be coming in after a defeat.

Yorkville came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Minooka, but Maddie Dostall wouldn't allow it. The Indians came out on top against the Foxes by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Dostall, who had ten digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Minooka never let Yorkville on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Plainfield South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Lincoln-Way Central.

Plainfield South's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Minooka, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-10.

Minooka skirted past Plainfield South 2-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
