Game recap: Canistota High School Football Team takes down Freeman

Thanks to the stand out performance the senior now has eight touchdowns on the season.

After taking the lead on a two-point conversion in the first quarter, Canistota (S.D.) led 36-12 at the half.

The Hawks grew their lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. Canistota scored three times in the third, including once on a Hofer touchdown run.

Hofer and Jerad Nielsen ran for a bunch of touchdowns for Freeman (S.D.).



A 50-0 Canistota victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

The victory was a step in the right direction for the Hawks, who were coming off a 38-14 defeat at the hands of Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for the Flyers.
