Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Wilsonville's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Wilsonville extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Gabi Moultrie. The Wilsonville Wildcats breezed by the Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs to the tune of 73-8 on Tuesday thanks in part to Moultrie, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points along with five assists and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Elise Chiovaro, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Wilsonville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Wilsonville has already played their next contest, a 73-53 win against Canby on the 23rd. As for Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts, they will challenge La Salle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
